The internet’s best new cannabis podcast, The Hash, goes LIVE in Oakland Sept. 17 with The Cannabis Author Showcase IV at 6 p.m. at The Rock Steady cocktail bar (1741 San Pablo Ave.) We’ll feature an exclusive sneak preview and sale of The Cannabis Manifesto, the debut book from Stephen DeAngelo, founder of the world’s largest dispensary Harborside Health Center in Oakland.
With a foreword by San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown,The Cannabis Manifesto weaves the personal autobiography of a ‘60s radical turned social entrepreneur, with the history of marijuana prohibition, as well as the rise of medical marijuana and prescriptions for further legalization. It’s out on North Atlantic Books Sept. 22. DeAngelo will appear for a one-on-one Q&A, then a panel discussion, and book sales and signings.
